Mor Afgin

 


Mor Afgin, born in 1990 in Holon, Israel, is a multidisciplinary artist recognized for his exploration of biological and ecological processes, often using them as metaphors for contemporary human experiences. His practice encompasses systems, machines, and installations that experiment with these themes. Afgin's notable solo exhibitions include “Equinox” (2022) at Hamidrasha Gallery and “U X U I” (2022) at Gerem Gallery. He has also participated in group exhibitions at venues such as CCA Tel Aviv, Givon Gallery, the Museum of Bat Yam, and Haifa Museum. A graduate of Bezalel Academy of Art and Design (BFA, 2019), Afgin is currently an MFA student at HFBK Hamburg (2023). His artistic achievements have been recognized with awards and scholarships from the Rabinowitz Foundation, the Pais Council of Art and Culture, the Pecker Prize for Excellence, the AICF Scholarship, and the Cooper Prize
